Hi! I’m Scottie, a singer-songwriter based in Dublin, and I’m looking to start my own band with the aim of playing my original music, alongside a selection of covers.
I’ve been performing live since 2024, starting out with open mics and gradually getting more confident performing my own songs in front of audiences. Since then, I’ve regularly played open mics around Dublin, including Sin É, as well as other live music nights and songwriter events. I’ve also played dedicated gigs where I’ve performed sets made up primarily of my original material.
I write and perform modern pop songs, with influences including Picture This, Snow Patrol, The Script, Aslan and McFly. I’m looking to develop my songs into a proper live band sound rather than just performing them acoustically.
I currently have a growing collection of original songs, including “Runaway”, which is my latesr single
I’d love to find musicians around Dublin who are interested in building something from the ground up, potentially including:
Lead/rhythm guitarist
Bass player
Drummer
Keyboard/piano player
Potential backing vocals
You don’t necessarily need to be an expert or have loads of gigging experience — attitude, reliability, creativity and enjoying the music are more important to me.
I’m happy to start with rehearsals, work on my originals together, experiment with arrangements and gradually build towards playing proper gigs around Dublin.
I’m also open to playing covers, especially songs that fit the style of the band, so there’s plenty of scope for a varied live set.
Ultimately, I’d love to build a proper 3–5 piece band, develop my original music into something bigger and start getting out there and playing venues around Dublin and eventually further afield.
If you’re a musician in Dublin and this sounds like something you’d be interested in, drop me a message!
