Putting together a new originals.
The aim is simple: write songs we're proud of, rehearse properly, play great live shows and see how far we can take it.
The sound sits somewhere between post-grunge, alternative metal and modern heavy rock—low-tuned riffs, darker verses, big melodic choruses and plenty of weight, but without being centred around screaming.
Think Chevelle, Seether, Red, 10 Years and Tremonti as reference points, rather than trying to copy any one band.
I've already built up a solid catalogue of original songs, with the first live set currently being narrowed down. They're demos rather than finished products—I want everyone involved to bring their own ideas, rewrite parts where they improve the songs, and help shape the band's sound together.
Currently looking for:
- Vocalist
- Drummer
- Bassist
- Possibly a second guitarist if the right person comes along
You don't need to be a session musician. Being reliable, turning up prepared, contributing ideas and wanting to build something long-term matters far more than being the flashiest player.
The plan is to rehearse regularly around Leicester, get a strong set together, start gigging and keep building from there. I want to take it seriously, but rehearsals should still be enjoyable.
Ideally, I'm looking for people in their 20s or 30s who want to commit to an original band rather than just another project that fizzles out after a few rehearsals.
