Experienced vocalist / song writer and drummer are looking for EDM producer to join a collaborative live project.
++++++++++++
Phil is an expert drummer and has played in a number of covers & tribute bands. I have sung for various covers bands (rock & punk, NOT pop).
I have written a lot of original lyrics over recent years and have been trying to work these up into playable live songs, with a view to also releasing the tracks via streaming platforms.
Phil & I are trying to set up a hybrid live-EDM-indie dance unit, harking back to the glory days of Factory Records and the Hacienda club scene of the mid 80s.
I have a full PA & vocalist gigging kit. Some lighting too. Phil has full acoustic and electronic drum kits and designs & builds PA modules.
We are keen to find someone who would like to collaborate on remixing our original songs into workable live / downloadable tracks.
There is a place on stage at gigs for the right person too if that’s of interest?!
The objective is to form an unusual live lineup... a 3 piece vocals-drums-EDM DJ.
We want to dispense with the standard guitar-bass-keyboards cover band setup (we've both done that to death over the last decade or two).
For a guide to the musical genre we want to reproduce, think 1980s / 1990s Factory Records style 12” extended EDM remixes of bands such as Stone Roses, Joy Division, Sisters Of Mercy, The Mission, The Stooges, Monster Magnet, The Doors... whatever.
We are very serious about doing this in a professional manner, so if you have the necessary time / interest / expertise / drive, drop us a line.
Who knows where this might lead?!
I have uploaded a bunch of demos to Soundcloud - have a listen. Could you use your EDM producer skills to come up with remixes (vocal & drum free) to take this to the next level?

To get a feel for what we are trying to achieve, have a listen to "Defcon One", or any of the others for that matter!
Cheers
Stu & Phil
