We are The Corduroys, an up-and-coming band performing all the good ol' tunes with a freshness and energy. Check out some videos of our last gig: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100089753097824
While still relatively new, we've quickly gained momentum since our formation in 2022. Unfortunately, our drummer has embarked on a permanent Antipodean adventure, leaving us in search of a talented individual to take up the drumsticks and provide good vibrations at the back.
As we continue to build our foundation, this is your opportunity to come in at the ground floor and make your mark. Our ambition is to become a highly active band, gracing stages at pubs and various functions throughout south Wales and beyond. With a niche focus on 60s/70s covers, we embrace the spirit of the era and infuse it with a delightful touch of "Kinks-y" style. We also delve into more modern songs, transforming them with our unique interpretation.
Here's a taste of some songs we love to perform:
Keep on Running
Gloria
Venus
Downtown
Then He Kissed Me
Livin' for the City
Time of the Season
Happy Together
Voulez Vous
Let's Spend The Night Together
Can't Take My Eyes Off You
Spooky
Sugar
Pretty Flamingo
The Letter
Heatwave
Eight Days a Week
The Night
Be My Baby
Sunny Afternoon
Love Really Hurts
Tainted Love
Our band regularly practices at least once a fortnight at the renowned Music Box in Cardiff. Furthermore, we're committed to bringing our energetic performances to audiences on a regular basis. Therefore, we're seeking someone who not only aligns with our vision, style, and vibe but also shares our dedication to making this dream a reality.
Allow us to introduce ourselves:
- Jim: Lead vocals, bass
- Gareth: Lead guitar, backing vocals
- James: Rhythm guitar, gaffer
The band spans various age groups, ranging from 20s to 50s, so all ages are welcome.
