Hi, East London/Essex based mature gigging 50’s/60’s ROCKNROLL/ROCKABILLY BAND seeking very experienced drummer,M/F.
We do about 15-20 gigs a year mostly at social clubs, (but also at RocknRoll Clubs/festival/private function or an occasional nice pub)
Nearly all in social clubs though-we try to avoid the pub scene.
Band is a four piece-vox, guitar, bass & drums & been established now for 4-5 years.
A friend of the band has been helping us out on the sticks lately & we’re covered for the gigs in 2026, but he’s quite booked up next year, so we’ll need to find someone permanent from January’27 or who could at least help out with gigs.
Shows are in Essex mostly, but also East London/North Kent/South Suffolk, so please bear these locations in mind as you’d need to be prepared to travel to them.
Mostly in Essex though.
About 13 or 14 gigs already booked for 2027 including a couple of RocknRoll Weekenders at Skegness & Hemsby.
Plus already some booked for 2028.
Practice is usually at Control Rooms Brentwood. 6-10pm. Very often Wednesday eve, but flexible to that day as we all have a life!
We don’t overdo the practices, but do what is needed. Always have the week after a gig off.
Sound wise, we’re more of a ‘rockier’ type RocknRoll band rather than a quiet melodic group, so best to bear that in mind.
But it’s all the great 50’s/60’s RocknRoll songs..(..a few rockabilly tunes too like Matchbox etc..) plus a few curve ball surprises..
We always have full dance floors!
Setlist upon request. Usually keep about 38 /40 songs on the bubble.
Only looking for someone who knows and likes this type of music, so if you may be interested..please only reply if you’re into 50’s/60’s RocknRoll & preferably have experience playing it.
Position is for a permanent drummer for our band for next year or maybe to help out. Preferably not already in multiple bands.
Someone who can keep steady time & will learn the songs first at home, not at practice!
Serious about the music, but we do like a laugh.
