Hello!
My name is Barney. I am a vocalist who currently writes and performs with the band COVES (with a line through the O). We can be found on Spotify along with most other streaming platforms. The band has a lot going for it right now. We are linked with a London promoter and are playing monthly shows. Our first two shows have sold out and the crowds have been awesome. The band consists of myself on vocals, Ben on guitar (who is my main co-writer), Dan on guitar, Eliot on Bass and Jared on drums. We have two songs that have been released. Both have been played on BBC introducing and we have a great rapport with our local host. We typically record vocals in studios with an incredible producer. The band are currently pushing for any kind of success.
Okay, now getting on to you. We are seeking essentially, a musician that can play a variety of instruments. Ideally, the primary instrument we'd like is a saxophone. This could be played in approximately 3/6 of our songs right now. In between this, it would be great if said person could play keys or, alternatively we'd be open to a rhythm guitarist. If you can sing or contribute to writing, this would be an even bigger plus.
So, please get in contact! However, before doing so, please recognise that this project will require commitment. We currently practice once a week in Debden (central line). You may not need to attend all of these, but certainly will be encouraged around show time. What we essentially have to offer is experience. We believe in this project and believe it would be a great investment for anyone involved. Additionally, we could discuss payment per gig. Right now, all the money goes back into the band but we'd understand if you'd rather not join this. Just to emphasise. For now, this would be a sessional role. If over time we find the said person gels well and offers a lot to be band then we will certainly reapproach that. But for now that's the case.
