Hi, thank you for reading.

I'm looking for a versatile male singer for what I think is a rather awesome musical project, but I am of course slightly biased.

I have over twenty songs to be sung for a trilogy of 'concept/themed' albums, titled 'The Art of Going Insane', which has been in the making since 2008. All songs are ready to be sung with (mostly) complete lyrics and my own singing ideas as guidance, in the hope that you can sing them, interpret them, make them yours... therefore improving my poor, poooor efforts. I cannot sing to save my life!

So, if you have the voice it takes to take 'good' songs to the level of 'great' songs, let's do it and put those songs 'out there' for the world to hear.

My influences and singers for your reference are Tears for Fears, Beatles, Pink Floyd, Depeche Mode, Waterboys, The Cure, Queen, Nick Cave, U2, Chameleons, The Mission and Marilyn Manson amongst others. In my music you will find influences of all those bands and musicians and much more, reaching as far as Spaghetti Western (Morricone-style), Kraftwerk and World music. If you like those kinds of bands and music, you will probably like this project: synths, guitars of all types and occasional ethnic instruments, with layers of voices... I'd be super happy to have two keen singers, as many of my favourite bands had precisely that.

As I have a 'real job' which I love and keeps me busy, I do not intend to gig: this is a studio only project. Once finished, we will release the music and see what happens... The project would suit someone like me, with a 9-5 job and who does not want to be famous but who is committed. Someone friendly, who enjoys singing as much as I enjoy composing, playing and producing. And who accepts that probably there will be no money and hopefully no fame... but that we will have fun while creating a piece of musical art that will be re-discovered long after we are dead and will be considered a masterwork.

I'd like to record the vocals in my home studio. I am based in the Juniper Green/Colinton area of Edinburgh.
