**Guitarist, keyboard and ANY other instrument, the stranger the better!**
I'm putting the feelers out for a progressive rock/metal project I've wanted to do for awhile. Nothing really set yet just gauging interest.
I'm a drummer, been playing since I was 11 (I'm 33 now) mainly rock and metal but I'm wanting to do something different.....similar but different ha! I've dabbled with projects like this in the past with varied success.
Let's get to the nitty-gritty, I'm looking to form a group, drummer, guitarist, bassist.....but here's the catch, I'm also looking for a possible percussionist, violinist and maybe even a harp player or other unusual instrument! possibly look at a lead vocalist too but ideally all would have a crack. I could easy point to a few bands I wanna take inspiration from (and I will) but it's more than that, its a bit harder to explain in words, I wanna do music less conventional. Just have fun with it and make good music but explore more progressive and unusual ideas.
For now it's easier to say go listen to these bands and it kinda gives the idea I'm getting at to a degree. There all very different in style but the energy, creativity and just plain fun they seem to all have is what I'm getting at.
