It would essentially be a progressive rock band with funk and soul influences. Think a mix between Herbie Hancock and King Crimson. Songs with good grooves and elements of funk, but also with much darker elements.
Some references/influences:
⁃ King Crimson
⁃ Funkadelic
⁃ Herbie Hancock
- Fela Kuti
⁃ Carmen
⁃ Mahavishnu Orchestra
- Snarky Puppy
For now I am focusing on finding a singer to collaborate with. In my mind it would be a female singer, as I just think a female voice would suit the project well. But I am open to any
As a whole I would need to find the following roles:
⁃ Singer
⁃ Bassist
⁃ Drummer
⁃ Keyboardist
⁃ Violinist/Saxophonist (depends on the song)
I have several songs that have been written/have large parts written. I usually start everything on guitar and write to a drum track, then flesh it out with keys and bass.
Attached is a Soundcloud link with a few demo ideas. A couple of them are quite fleshed out, two are just bridge ideas. But hopefully they give you a rough idea of the sound in general.

Looking for a singer who can also write lyrics. Have an idea for a concept album of sorts: this isn’t a sure thing, but I definitely see the lyrical style on the ethereal side of things. And with wide vocal range and a lot of power.
If it sounds like something that would be of interest to you, please reply to this with some information of your musical background/tastes and your age/schedule etc.
Thanks!
Will.
