We are looking for a proficient dedicated bass player, with good stage experience, good gear and reliable transport.
Our 5 piece band has been established since 2022 for fun and has developed into a professional gigging band. Our current lineup includes a female lead singer/rhythm guitarist and founder member of the band; a violinist; drummer; male singer/lead guitarist. Our bassist who has been a dedicated member has just retired, hence the vacancy.
We enjoy performing a varied range of genres and styles of cover songs from every decade 40s-2020s, to suit the particular venue's requirements. We enjoy working on themed playlists eg Halloween, Christmas, Night of Nostalgia (50s, 60s and 70s), Country and soft rock. We enjoy varying our setlists too and welcome new material to extend our repertoire.
We rehearse at least once weekly usually during an afternoon (although this can be changed to suit the right candidate) and enjoy performing at local open mic nights as well as for charitable causes for fun, however we also bid for paid gigs too.
We are professional yet relaxed, focussed on tight grooves and gigging.
What we need from you:
1. Proactive bass skills with a good ear for rhythm and melody.
2. Reliable gear and a commitment to learning setlists ahead of time in preparation for rehearsals.
3. Ability to sing backing vocals, is a major plus.
