Are you a talented guitar player with a passion for teaching? Do you want to focus on the music and let someone else handle the marketing, admin, and bookings?
Your Guitar Academy (YGA) is looking for motivated, professional guitar tutors to join our team in Birmingham. We are more than just an agency; we are a team dedicated to providing the best possible guitar education.
Why Join YGA?
As highlighted by our current team, working with us allows you to focus on what you do best: teaching!
• We Provide the Students: Stop chasing leads. We handle the marketing and send a constant flow of students directly to you.
• World-Class Course Material: Drastically reduce your lesson prep time. You will get access to our structured, professional course materials (for beginners to advanced), giving you a clear roadmap for every student.
• Streamlined Admin: Our online system handles student notes and progress tracking, so you don’t have to worry about loose papers or messy schedules.
• Training & Support: You are never alone. We provide training sessions and a supportive HQ team to help you become a world-class educator.
The Role
• Delivering high-quality, 1-on-1 guitar lessons to students of varying abilities.
• Using the YGA curriculum to guide students while adapting to their individual goals.
• Managing your own teaching schedule to fit your lifestyle.
Requirements To maintain our high standards, all applicants must meet the following criteria:
• Location: You must be based in (or very near) Selly Oak or Central Birmingham.
• Teaching Space: You must have a dedicated home teaching space (e.g., a home studio, spare room, or uninterrupted living space). Please Note: For safeguarding and professional standards, we cannot accept tutors teaching from a bedroom or a shared student communal area.
• Training Day: You must be willing to travel to our HQ in Sussex for a one-day, in-person induction and training session.
• Equipment: A reliable computer, internet connection, and a good selection of guitars/amps.
• Skill Level: High-level playing ability with a solid understanding of music theory.
• Personality: Friendly, patient, and passionate about helping others learn.
