Hey! I’m an electronic drum kit player based near Chester, starting a new alternative rock / nu-metal project .
Disclosure: My tracks sound okay, but I am very much a beginner and still learning the ropes of Ableton. I’m looking for a guitarist who is down to collaborate, experiment, and grow together as we figure out the production side of things!
Instrumentally, I love the crushing, bouncy grooves of Korn, Rage Against the Machine, and Limp Bizkit. Because I play a real e-kit, I can lay down authentic, human drum grooves into Ableton rather than robotically clicking dots on a screen. I'm also learning to map out simple synth pads and basic bass foundations to back up the rhythm.
Lyrically, I want to blend the esoteric, mystical poetry of Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin) and Jim Morrison (The Doors) with the grungy, jumpy nu-metal world. I write about psychological illusions and the human shadow. The ultimate goal is to make heavy music that helps people get lost in physical movement, breaking the illusion that society forces us to live with a stick stuck up our bum.
I need a creative guitarist who loves heavy riffs, down-tuning, and using effects to create eerie, atmospheric textures. You do not need to be an expert player or a production wizard. If you are also a beginner or just want a relaxed environment to write riffs without pressure, this is perfect. I’ll handle recording my drums and hosting the Ableton sessions, I just need your creativity and string work to help bring these ideas to life. Whether you want to swap files online or meet up locally in the Chester area, drop me a message and let's figure it out together!
