Hello!
My name is Jared. I'm a 26 year old guitarist from Derbyshire, and I'm looking to join an established band or potentially start a new project if enough people are interested.
I recently moved back to England after spending the last two years living in Japan. During that time, I played as one of three guitarists in a six piece cyberpunk metalcore band. We were lucky enough to record several songs, tour around Japan, and build a great following. It was a difficult decision to leave, but I came back to be closer to my family following a cancer diagnosis in the family. Although it meant leaving my previous life behind, I'm keen to continue pursuing music, which is why I'm making this post.
Some of my biggest influences are Sleeping With Sirens, Pierce the Veil, Memphis May Fire, Asking Alexandria, Bring Me the Horizon, Holding Absence, Caskets, Dayseeker, Thornhill, Holywatr, Linkin Park, and plenty of others. I'm mainly interested in metalcore, but I'm definitely open to anything with a similar modern heavy sound if it's the right fit.
I've been playing guitar since I was 9 years old and have experience writing, recording, and touring. I'm comfortable using DAWs, especially Studio One and FL Studio, and I have a home recording setup with amp sims and VSTs, so recording ideas remotely is no problem. I've also got my own gear, my own car, and I'm happy to travel for the right project.
