Yo yo,
I am a 33 year old guy looking for like-minded people to start a band with, something heavy and melodic, groove metal vibes with inspiration like Fear Factory, Slipknot, Devildriver, Sepultura, Cavalera Conspiracy, Slayer, etc.
In terms of experience, I've played in a couple of bands, not as vocals but we recorded an EP with a label in London and played a bunch of gigs in London and surrounding areas, many years ago now. I've been teaching myself metal vocals loosely for a couple of years now but serious consistent daily practice for the last 7 months (and on going)- I'll be taking singing lessons starting January to develop my cleans voice further.
I write my own lyrics, I've had a wild and f**ked up life so you can trust that I've got fuel in the tank when it comes to emotional transference. A part of this is as therapeutic as it is for purpose. I'm a big guy who hits the gym hard, big stage presence, lots of power, lots of personality.
Plenty of contacts in London, labels, producers, clubs, bars, etc. Worked as a nightclub manager in east London for 5 years or so, so if we get our sh*t together then i'll try send us to the moon!
I'm serious about creating something that might give us the chance to do more than work day jobs. I'm ambitious, I'm determined, and I'm just trying to improve. Ego is left at home, whatever it takes.
