Hello all!
Martin and Ted here, a guitarist and bassist looking for an open-minded and proficient drummer to join us in composing original material that is atmospheric, melodic, fun to play, and at times crushingly heavy.
The two of us are looking to create a new project and need a drummer who can play with intensity and ferocity as well as technicality. Ideally, someone who can make riffs sound enormously heavy and can help to create ethereal atmospheres too. Expect odd-time signatures, instrumental jams and breaks, post-rock climaxes, searing riffs, the lot!
We are both keen to write experimental/post metal that incorporates elements of post rock, shoegaze, stoner doom, instrumental soundscapes, extensive pedalboards, drum machines, the sky is the limit...
We are both in the 30-40 age range, have been in a variety of bands, work full time, and have children. We want this project to be an inspiring, fun, and enjoyable experience, whether we are writing, gigging, or recording.
This is a new project for us both and whilst we are coming to the table with some music prepared, we are really flexible and open to new ideas and contributions. We pride ourselves on being collaborative and genuine blokes so if you have suggestions, we would love to take them on board.
