Hey everyone!
My name is Lloyd John. I'm a 24 year old Rock artist from Ireland based in Hackney Wick, London. I have a professional studio with my mate which has a live room for recording + rehearsals in Hackney Wick (24/7 - 365)
EXPERIENCE;
I've toured Ireland + London twice in 2023 under an old project selling out multiple coveted venues with my old band, I've shared stages with Medium Build, Kingfishr, Baby Queen, Cassia and generated 1,750,000+ streams on Spotify. The band decided to stay in Ireland as I moved to London to progress in music.
I had a fantastic manager in 2024 who helped me find my music lawyer - Tom (clintons - the cure, 1975, lewis capaldi) and find my feet in the UK industry. He is more involved in the folk world so we stepped back from this and we work professionally in a separate music business. Tom (lawyer) and I are still preparing for a deal but we both think it's best to rehearse an undeniably strong live set, gig consistently with the band for 2/3 months in the new year and he's confident we'll have a deal on the table, a great agent at the very least.
Since building the new studio, I've fully moved into the world of Rock and I intend to stay here as I can now record bands in house.

My industry experience + connections are pretty good.
I studied Jazz in MTU Cork with a first + Classical Piano Grade 8 in ABRSM + RIAM both performance and music theory.
I run a 4 band live music night seasonally in Dalston called JUKEBOX at The JAGO.
I newly run a tiny desk style recording + manage all studios at Point Blank with access to the highest quality recording and mixing facilities in the world.
WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR;
I'm not looking for the craziest players, the music is quite simple. So if you like how it sounds reach out!
I'm more-so looking for someone who wants to dedicate time and play on a strong artist alt-rock project regularly, someone who understands the world of original bands and the lack of money involved at first.
Someone willing to voice their opinion on decisions, compromise, make arrangement suggestions, be excited about growing as a team and build a life of recording and touring.
In terms of expenses. Although I hope for us all to feel like a band, It is a 'solo' project so I will cover all travel/accommodation/room hire arrangements and you will be paid for recording on the project. Gig fee's ideally go into a band bank used for video/marketing or the next gig but up for discussion.
- 22-32 age range
- In search of Drum, Bass and Rhythm Guitar
- Being Queer gives you brownie points but not a deal-breaker at all
- High energy, high performance rock music (stage presence is very important)
- Replying to messages in a reasonable time is a big one to keep the momentum.
- Understanding of the level of commitment needed + lack of money at first whilst building up the set.
Rehearsals - 3/4 rehearsals before our first gig followed by a busy January - March of rockin' .
Live Set Recording in ZIGZAG in Jan/Feb - https://zigzagrecording.com/
A 6-track EP can release in March/April but I want to judge this based on the momentum we create.
Reps in Live Nation & Metropolis have asked me to keep an eye out for any tour/shows that seem suitable.
Most importantly, I'm looking for a group of new friends to have fun and make music with all the time, if thats you - say hi!
