Hi! I'm a London-based writer, composer and music producer looking to connect with musicians interested in creating original Islamic faith-inspired music/nasheed/naat and related styles.
I'm inspired by artists such as Maher Zain, Sami Yusuf and Harris J, and I'm particularly interested in blending modern Western pop, R&B and soul with Middle Eastern influences but I'm fairly open musically . I'm particularly interested in music that combines meaningful, faith-inspired lyrics with contemporary production and instrumentation, rather than vocals-only nasheeds.
I'd love to connect with people who share an interest in this kind of music, whether you're a singer, songwriter, producer, engineer or instrumentalist. I'm open to musicians playing either Western or Eastern instruments, and you don't necessarily need to be experienced already.
At this stage, I'm open to jamming, exchanging ideas and collaborating on music, and seeing where things go. It would be great to meet like-minded people and potentially develop something together over time, whether that's a collaborative project, a band or something else.
I'm based in London, ideally looking to connect with people locally, but I'm open to connecting with musicians elsewhere in the UK too.
If this sounds interesting to you, feel free to get in touch and tell me a little about yourself, what you play or create, and the kind of music you're into.
Even if you're reading this weeks or months after the advert was posted, please still feel free to drop me a message! I'm always happy to connect with like-minded people and explore potential collaborations.
Looking forward to connecting with you!
