Guitarist looking to put together a band with like-minded musicians with a focus on metal/rock and nu-metal
I'm 30+ in age nearing 40 and would ideally like to meet musicians around a similar age, mainly so we're at a similar stage of life and have similar expectations around rehearsing and gigging.
Initially, I’d like to concentrate mainly on covers, get a solid set together and find people who work well together musically, besides you also get your chops in working hard at playing covers well - how do you think bands like the Beatles and the stones got as proffesional and tight as they were?
Definerly looking at the options of paid work in future, cover bands and events are becoming more and more common due to nostalgia being what it is.
Once established, I’d definitely be open to working on original material as well.
The aim would be to rehearse regularly, build up a strong live set of varied covers and eventually gig at local venues/events, while keeping it enjoyable putting on a good show and going deep on entertaining the nostalgia vibe that's going strong right now

Potentially another guitarist
Ideally looking for people who are reliable, easy-going and reasonably committed, and who actually want to get out, rehearse and eventually play live music and have fun with the live experience playing songs we all love!
You don't need to be a virtuoso — attitude, reliability and being able to play together as a band are more important.
I'm particularly interested in heavier guitar-driven music covering the nu-metal / alternative metal / modern metal end of things, although I'm happy to have some variety in the set.
