I have aquired about 68 sets of written music arrangements for a Trad Jazz/ Dixieland Combo. Looking for Trumpet/Cornet, Clarinet, Tenor Sax, Tuba/Bass Guitar/ String Bass and Banjo/Guitar/Drums to join me on Trombone to have a go at playing the written stuff. Don't mind how old you are, but I should tell you I am 60!
This is pretty different from the normal trad jazz combo set up as these guys usually play by ear and improvise. Unfortunately I cannot play by ear/improvise and so I am looking for like minded people who read music and would like to have a go at playing some traditional jazz.
Incidentally, the rhythm section for Banjo/Guitar/Drums is actually chorded rather than put into music notation.
Don't know where this is going just putting out feelers.

The instrumentation is usually full 8-piece Dixieland (clarinet, trumpet, tenor sax, trombone, piano, banjo, tuba, drums). Most, if not all, of the arrangements should play very well with one or more parts missing (e.g., if you don't have a tenor or a banjo, etc.). Frequently, the rhythm section (piano, tuba and banjo) share the same parts.
