Month by Month - A book club for songwriters UK

Hey,

Month by Month (MBM) is on the hunt for new members.

Each month a new theme is voted for by our members, and we as the 'songwriters' have a month to write a song about that very theme.

Your songs can be as long or as short as you want them to be, they could be instrumentals, spoken word and could even feature other artists who aren't MBM members. Furthermore, they can be any genre you feel suits the subject and your writing style best.

Get as creative as you want to get - the sky really is the limit... just be sure to tie it in with that month's theme.

MBM has been created to be a safe, inclusive & creative space for all who join.

This is not a competition, for example, you could be a first-time songwriter recording through your phone, a touring musician, bedroom guitarist or a well-crafted producer.

Now what?!

Well... the final hand-in date will usually be the last weekend of the month, followed by numerous live listening parties (via zoom) across the whole weekend.

This is the fun part, as we all get to fully appreciate all of our hard work in all of its glory, live, together.

The listening party usually lasts around 2/3 hours, where each member has the opportunity to talk about their song, their experience writing it and will also be an opportunity to ask for any constructive advice from other MBM members, if they wish.
