32-year-old metal vocalist looking to join or form a serious-but-balanced band focused on modern metal / metalcore / melodic metalcore. Originals only. Small openness to alternative-style covers, but original music is the priority.
Vocal style is a balanced mix of harsh and clean, with harsher vocals currently being the stronger side. This is my first project as a vocalist, but I bring 11 years of band experience as a drummer, including extensive live performance experience. I understand rehearsals, gig prep, studio work, and band dynamics, and I’m not coming in green to how bands actually function.
Influences include: Abbie Falls, Bad Omens, Downswing, Bury Tomorrow, Orbit Culture, Wage War, Imminence. Open-minded across metal, but modern metalcore is the natural home.
Looking for a collaborative writing environment. I want everyone involved in shaping the sound, not hired-gun energy. The goal is to make music properly, enjoy the process, and build something solid.
Rehearsals ideally once a week. Happy to spend additional time bonding as a band — weekends, drinks, hanging out, building trust. I value chemistry as much as tight playing.
Live and studio focus equally. Gigs when the band is ready and tight, not rushed. Touring is a yes for the right opportunity, with the realistic caveat that weekday time off is limited due to career commitments.
I can provide recorded vocal examples (full songs, originals and covers). Current material is around two years old and will be updated, but it demonstrates capability and direction.
Looking for mature, grounded people. Age roughly around my own preferred, but not a dealbreaker. Absolute dealbreakers: heavy drug use, immaturity, ego, flakiness. The foundation should be friendship and mutual respect, with ambition built on top.
Availability: most evenings, flexible weekends.
Transport: own van — reliable for rehearsals and gigs.
