My name is Dal and I am 48 years old and looking to either join an established band or form one with like-minded musos! lol
I have been playing guitar (on and off) for about 20+ years but more frequent in the past few years where I was gigging and recording with the last band I was involved with. I am mainly a rhythm guitarist but can dabble with some lead work too. (Please note that I am no Steve Vai/ Joe Satriani or even Kirk Hamster either)I am not scared to have a go...but know my limits. I am currently playing in Drop C tuning but am adaptable.
I have my own transport, sense of humour and professional gear. I am very serious about my music and love nothing more than banging out some tunes at stupid volumes down the studio with fellow musicians.
I am looking to get gigging/writing and recording again with an established band who have a serious agenda (but also know how to have fun and chill too) lol
I am not really interested in just jamming, being in a covers band or passing the time as a hobby etc.
I am based in the Essex area and would ideally like to stay local if possible but can travel up to a sensible distance...(obviously I would prefer spending more time IN the studio rather than travelling time TO the studio) I hope that makes sense?
My influences are a little bit varied...but I like Soilwork, Machinehead, Old Metallica, Dream Theater, Lacuna Coil, Galactic Cowboys, Disturbed, Arch Enemy, In This Moment, Pantera, Old Sepultura, Lamb of God, Testament, In Flames, Cavalera Conspiracy and many more........(I don't sound like any of these band's guitarists...but listen to these bands a lot!)
