Established up and coming band Artella requires committed frontman/guitarist urgently!!!!
Due to unforeseen circumstances our lead singer/ guitarist has chosen to go his separate ways from the band and focus on other things so therefore a frontman and guitarist is required as soon as possible!!!
The ideal candidate would have 110% commitment to want to excel as a band and as a musician
The band has had major interest from promoters and even a major US record label!
The ideal frontman would have influences in singing and writing from artists such as Noel Gallagher,Alex Turner,Liam Gallagher, Liam Fray,Tommy O’Dell
The band has grown dramatically over the past few
months so we will be really busy so commitment is an absolute must!!! I’ll drop our bio here so you can read further if you think this is for you!
We have many HUGE gigs lined up for us this summer so we need to get the ball rolling and fast!!
Bright young guitar band Artella, formed in June 2017, consists of guitarist and singer Chris Pickford, guitarist Joe Desmond, bass player Corey Cattell and hard-hitting drummer Arron Appleyard all hailing from South Yorkshire. Their sound is a cobination of the writing styles of Oasis, Blink 182 and DMAs, which creates a spark giving a mixture of heavy guitars and catchy choruses, that come together and really pack a punch. Along with these, the band are influenced by many more acts, including the Libertines, Catfish and the Bottlemen and the Jam. When it comes to writing the songs Chris & Joe take their influence from the likes of Dave Grohl, Mark Hoppus & Tom DeLongue, Noel Gallagher, Richard Ashcroft and Paul Weller to name but a few, which is where Artella’s hard hitting choruses stem from. Two hits that the band have written ‘What Are You Waiting For?’ & ‘Maybe Tomorrow’ have both been played on BBC Radio Sheffield’s Introducing show, with presenter Christian Carlisle heavily praising them both. ‘What Are You Waiting For?’ has also been played during club nights in The Leadmill on several occasions, with positive feedback coming from DJs and club-goers, alike. Within the band’s first two months of gigging life they played shows across the north, including two hometown headline shows which were both very close to selling out. Now that the ball is fully rolling for the young, South Yorkshire lads they have impressed lot of people including many new fans, promoters and radio presenters. Aggressive Management, who booked Artella for their Tramlines 2018 Stage at Crystal, described them as “Loud, Proud and in your face tunes. Think Oasis, Stone Roses, The Verve, Libertines etc all wrapped up in the finest Sheffield attitude”. Christian Carlisle of BBC Radio Sheffield said that they are a “Fantastic Indie Rock n Roll Band” also saying their music has “A lot of lad-rock swagger about it”. Recently the band have been in the rehearsal studio working on how they can keep their set list fresh and different for each show, as well as working on some new material which is likely to appear in the near future.
We can work with whoever feels they are up for the role and ensure it works for them as well as us!!!!
We are based in Sheffield and practice locally so would need to be able to Sheffield!!
GUITARISTS AND FRONTMEN WE NEED YOU!
