Hi Guys,
Im 32 year old Guitarist & Songwriter seeking a singer to start putting together a new project and collaborate in writing music together.
I've lived in edinburgh for about 10 months now and have been getting to know the music scene, Ive been playing in a few different bands trying to understand what I want to pursue and think I have a good idea now. Would be amazing if could find someone with similar aspirations
Ideally id like to set up a 3 piece with a singing bass player, however I am open to setting up a 4 piece also. Initially I would like to write some music in collaboration with a singer before bringing other members on board.
My influences are indie, hard / alternative rock, Classic rock, and even what you might call pop rock all with undertones of blues. Some of the bands i like are brian jonestown massacre, the blue stones, the stone roses, New candys, the black angles, interpol, queens of stone aage, arctic monkeys, Fontaines DC, john frusciante.
Im not a big fan of doing covers and I know alot of venues in Edinburgh prefer you play original material so would be good if you were of similar mindset, although i dont mind playing a couple of covers just to get us started and used to playing together.
Im very motivated to set up something serious where we can commit certain days in the week to working on this. Is also important that we get along, I dont take myself to seriously and try my best to not approach music with an ego
Also would be ideal if you were based somewhere in edinburgh or close enough that its not too much of a trek to meet up.
