I'm a lyricist/songwriter looking to find a musician, songwriter, guitarist, pianist or producer who'd be interested in collaborating on original songs.
I write lyrics with a strong focus on storytelling, atmosphere, emotion and imagery. I have quite a few completed lyrics and am now looking for someone who can help bring them to life musically — developing the melody, chords, instrumentation and arrangement together.
I'm quite open when it comes to style. Some of my songs I can imagine being guitar-led indie/rock, while others could work beautifully with piano or a more atmospheric arrangement.
My musical tastes are pretty broad. I enjoy artists including Travis, Razorlight, The Killers, Hozier, Keane, Eagles, Pink Floyd, Lady A, Lonestar, Johnny Cash and Bon Jovi. I'm not looking to copy any particular artist — I just tend to gravitate towards strong melodies, great storytelling, atmosphere and songs with emotional impact.
I've also experimented with some of my lyrics using Suno to create rough demo versions, which I'm happy to share. They're very much starting points rather than finished productions, and I'd love to see what a real musician/songwriter could bring to the songs.
One of my current songs, "The Silence of Sirens", is a dark, atmospheric story about love, loss and obsession, with a quiet opening that builds towards a much bigger ending. I have several other songs in different styles too.
I'm based in Devon, but I'm happy to collaborate remotely, so location isn't necessarily a problem.
I'm not a musician myself, so I'm looking for someone who enjoys turning lyrics into music and would like to develop the songs creatively together.
