Looking for Musicians
15 yo Bassist/Guitarist/Singer-Songwriter (grade 6 bass rockschool, ungraded guitarist but probably not that far behind, been writing songs for about 7 years, relatively novice singer but not that bad) looking for like-minded musicians to form a 4-piece band with, aged 14-17 (preferably). Looking to do weekly meet ups with structure (to avoid noodling).
Looking for:
A Guitarist/Keyboardist/Singer
someone fairly confident in their abilities on the two instruments, and can hold down a nice harmony/lead vocal.
A Guitarist/Multi-instrumentalist/Singer
someone who would consider themselves a good lead player, good improv and tasteful playing would be more appreciated than shredding or whatever. This member should also be open-minded to trying out different instruments, anything from bass to didgeridoo. Being able to sing a little also would be great.
A Drummer/Percussionist/Singer
someone who can hold down a solid, and inventive beat, should understand time signature stuff and that's about it. Being able to add to the harmonies/vocals would be greatly appreciated.
Influences:
The Beatles (creativity, short yet brilliant songs, multiple singers, somehow not pretentious)
Radiohead (expressive vocals, lovely instrumental arrangements, emotive song writing)
The Smiths (satisfying guitar and bass interplay, emotional intensity, unique song writing)
So in a nutshell, for now this isn't too serious (obviously a little serious, like please have more than a week's worth of experience, keep going though if not!). Just anyone that wants this kind of thing, you don't have to be the greatest singer ever especially. You just have to want to sing and it will come, especially with the consistent practice this band will offer. The goal and hopefully result will be a unique band with NO front person, just gorgeous harmonies and a swapping of lead vocalist song to song, carrying on the largely unexplored since dynamic of The Beatles. Would also like to swap around instrument duties per song, to avoid getting stuck in a specific position. Also worth noting you don't have to fit the roles above exactly, it's just a general mould/outline. Basically, looking for creative and artistic individuals that want to do something a little different with music, cool fashion would also be appreciated.
