(Hastings)

Hello I am a 28 year old guitarist, primarily lead with good experience jamming and playing around Hastings with a couple of heavy psych bands in the vein of JHE, Cream, Blue Cheer etc.
Looking to change things up a bit and go for a sound more inspired by bands like Jefferson Airplane, Grateful Dead, Quicksilver Messenger Service, Country Joe & the Fish...that San Francisco ballroom sound with cleaner guitars, multiple vocalists, long improvised sections, spacey exploration and weirdness, but all with that danceable R&B/blues base to it. Basically just want to go for a good 60s sound without too many modern influences...
So of course I'm mainly looking for a second guitarist, bassist and drummer but ideally would really like to find a keyboard/organ player but I know there's not so many out there...I love that old Vox Continental/Farfisa sound but this may just be a dream...also anyone who's purely a singer that might be interested....
I can sing, not to a really high standard but in a sort of unrefined way that fits in with the music but it would be cool to have several band members providing vocals and songs, originals or covers, like many of the bands would do back then.
As well as being into the Frisco scene (particularly into Jerry Garcia's playing '67-'69) I also dig Mike Bloomfield, Peter Green, early Zappa, Beefheart, early Pink Floyd, The Beatles (psych albums), Dylan......British folk music...Incredible String Band, Pentangle/Bert Jansch.....jazz, John Coltrane...Miles (especially the mid 60s second quintet stuff)...Pharoah Sanders........Indian music...Ravi Shankar.......so I like to draw from a wide - but very 60s focused - range of influences...also like plenty of older blues/jazz/folk....
Anyway if you made it to the end of all that thanks for checking this out if you're interested hit me up....
