Hi all,
I am looking for a new project to start/join. I have been playing in bands since I was around 15 and the most recent one came to an end due to covid, lifestyle changes etc. and I have been dabbling with some of my own stuff since. I have some demos but would be interested in organising to meet up somewhere and smash things out.
I really miss playing gigs, I have played at some decent venues (both in the UK and in Europe), had radio play from mainstream radio in Europe. I have also supported quite a few bands that are now smashing it at festivals/tours. I have quite a few contacts from my time playing in other bands from promoters to radio DJ's etc. I am looking to hopefully join/begin a new project focused on writing new material and playing live. I am 30 at the minute but have a lot of experience in recording, writing, playing live etc.
I am mostly influenced by pop-rock, indie, indie-pop etc but I have a quite eccentric music taste and listen to everything from pop to metal to rap to classical. There are a huge range of artists I am influenced by so it's easier to use genre's rather than artists. For me, if it sounds good to me it is a bit of me.
I have my own transport + equipment (if playing guitar or bass as I don't currently have an acoustic drum kit/electric kit) and have the ability to record at home due to having a DAW and interface to record guitar/bass/synth/backing vocals.
I can play guitar, bass & drums to a high level. I also can provide backing vocals, I am not the best vocalist but I can keep a tune and provide consistent harmonies - Guitar and bass are self-taught but I am 'classically trained' in drums through graded pieces and having lessons at a younger age.
