We were a gigging mid-teen band before lockdown canned everything. Our bassist, keyboard player and singer left and we are now looking to reform and rehearse for when this all ends.
We realise this might be some time away, but we intend to have some fun and improve further as musicians in the meantime. We need a bassist, keyboards and / or second guitar and a singer. When we were gigging we played a two set, broad mix of 1970s to 2020s rock covers, but it’s time to start over and we’re open to suggestions, providing we can all agree to play covers and / or originals that will ultimately get us playing live again, one day, someday. Until then, I guess we also have plenty of time to explore stuff that wouldn’t necessarily be gig-able but would be challenging enough to keep us from crawling the walls.
Although we are young, we are pretty good players and have our own professional gear, our own quality PA and access to an experienced sound engineer when required. We are too young to drive but have family transport when we need it. We are very easy going and friendly, but we are serious about our music.
Gender is irrelevant and you don’t need to be a virtuoso, but you do need to be able to play/sing to a reasonable standard and be committed to the music and the band (we were studio rehearsing once a week before lockdown). You need to be open minded and willing to work together and if necessary, compromise to make it happen. You need to be honest with us and yourself and you need to be in reach of the Bournemouth area regularly for rehearsals.
If this sounds like you HMU with some background. We can organise a studio to get it together.
