Hi,
My name is Dan - I'm a pro gigging musician (25) based in West London, and I'm having a bit of a quarter-life crisis. I'm planning on going busking/travelling in Europe over the Easter Holidays (30th March to 15th April, + or - a few days).
I'm looking for a busking partner, or a few busking partners, to make the whole thing much more fun! You don't have to be based anywhere near London - so anyone in the UK (or world!) can get in touch!
I'm choosing the Easter Holidays as I also teach in schools, and will have the two weeks work and gig-free.
I'm looking to go to the South of France/North of Spain - because it's just such an amazing place.
I play acoustic guitar and sing - I love all sorts of music. I'm open to working with anyone who's musical and is good enough to pick stuff up on the fly. Also happy to be joined by someone on any instrument, even if you're another guitarist and singer.
Very happy for this person/these people to strongly influence the music we play too - so if you're into your country, rock, soul, jazz etc., it's all groovy!
You won't need to commit to the whole two weeks - it'll be fine for you to come along for a handful of days.
I own two busking amps, so happy to provide a spare if you don't have one. I've also got spare mics, cables, mic stands etc. - so as long as you've got an instrument and you can play it, it's fine.
I'm not yet decided on whether I'll take my car for the travel, or do it by public transport - will depend on the plan (which doesn't yet exist).
I could do it solo, but am hoping to find someone or some people to make the whole thing much more of a fun adventure.
Obviously we'll need to get along, and have a vaguely similar idea of what a fun time constitutes. I'm looking at playing for 2-3 hours most days, to cover accommodation and travel costs - and then exploring/enjoying wherever we end up.
If you're interested, drop me a message and we can have a phone call, or meet up for a drink to discuss further.
Thanks!
Dan
