We are a busy gigging covers band specialising not in particular favourite genres, but in crowd pleasing well known songs from the 1960s to the present. Loosely Rock, Pop and Indie, full current repertoire will reveal more. That is because we want to gig regularly more than follow any personal musical dream, and because we get a huge buzz out of the reception we get. Also, we have proved that it results in gig bookings, and repeat bookings. We don't gig every week by choice, to allow for other things, but are averaging two or three gigs a month.
We are democratic and have a good system where everyone is involved in choosing songs to add, but obviously initially you would need to learn most of our set, so that gigs are not interrupted.
This is not a formula everyone will want, but we love gigging and much prefer it to endless practices and few gigs. Please stop reading here if this is not for you.
Still here? Great.. we are based around Luton and Bedford, are a five piece, two guitars, bass, drums and lead vocalist, and three of us provide BVs as needed. Our repertoire is almost exclusively male vocal stuff, but requires a decent vocal range, so although not definite is more likely suited to a male vocalist.
We are fully equipped, so only help with handling and setting up PA etc is needed. If you have your own PA that would be interesting too. Obviously you need decent availability, reliable transport and are genuinely happy with the ethos described. We have a wide age range, currently 40 to 70, and no specific age in mind. Our lead vocalist is moving into original stuff, hence the vacancy. You would need to be ready to take over from January 2027. So you will need time on your hands for learning.
We can provide comprehensive data, including a central folder of all the tracks we cover, sample live recordings etc. We regret that we cannot consider any vocalist without first having at least three recordings of you singing, that demostrate range and versatility. They don't need to be high quality. Phone recordings, where you sing along to a song in the background, will do.
