LEAD VOCALIST & BASSIST WANTED Newcastle/North East

Tuesday 1 Sep 2026, 7:12pm

Hello!

I’m Robbie, and I’m looking for a lead vocalist and bassist to join me in building a serious, original pop/rock/indie project. I’m looking for people who are strong musicians, confident live, creative and keen to contribute to the songwriting and overall direction. Backing vocals are particularly important, especially for the bassist.

I’ve recently started working with a drummer who I’ve been friends with for years. We’ve played together previously, so although we’re only just starting to build this project, there’s already a good understanding and musical connection between us. He has 10+ years’ playing and touring experience, giving us a solid foundation to build from. I have 20 years’ experience as a guitarist/songwriter, with studio, touring and festival experience, including working with a Grammy-winning producer. I have a back catalogue of original material, am continuously writing, but also keen to work with new people. I’ve also got experience with the wider side of building a project such as bookings, industry communication, recording, releases, promotion and social media, and between us we have some very good existing music/industry connections.

We’re both in our early 30s, ideally looking for people around mid-20s to mid-30s, but open to the right person!

I’m looking for people who are genuinely committed and prepared to invest time and money into making this work. Committing to rehearsals, recording, equipment, travel and gigs are a big part of what we've done in the past. You’ll need your own suitable equipment and ideally your own transport if possible.

My songwriting and playing is centred around catchy melodies, strong harmonies, guitar-driven arrangements and a big, full live sound. I’m very willing to develop and shape the sound around the right vocalist, rather than trying to fit someone into a predetermined style.

If you’re interested, please send me a message with a little about yourself and, ideally, some examples of your vocals/playing or previous work. Demos, recordings, videos or links are all welcome

Hopefully speak soon!
