We are a grunge covers band called Feeling Minnesota. We play hits from Nirvana, Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam, The Smashing Pumpkins, Stone Temple Pilots, Silverchair, Bush and more.
Due to personal reasons our lead singer, second guitar and drummer are stepping back from music and performing. Our last show in this form will be 26th September at Voodoo Daddy’s in Norwich.
That leaves me on guitar and my bass player!
We are looking for a charismatic lead singer, with no ego, to fill some seriously big shoes. We need a person who can lead the band and gee up the crowd!
A second guitarist! Alternating between rhythm and lead stuff depending on what you’d like to do. For example I would take lead on Alive by Pearl Jam, and our second guitar would lead on Even Flow by Pearl Jam.
A competent drummer who can keep us together on stage with good pacing and timing. Someone with a china crash and some splashes would be good to capture grungy sounds!
Guitarist/drummers don’t have to do backing vocals but you can if you want!
All of us are 40+ with a love of all things grunge! So a like minded male or female singers/players would be great.
We’re looking for a singer who can hit those notes Layne Staley and Chris Cornell could reach. We’re looking for the gravelly tones of Kurt Cobain and Eddie Vedder!
We have a decent reputation online and good, organic following over 1000 across Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. We had a few decent gigs planned for 2027 in Norwich, Ipswich, Cambridge and London. All of which have been cancelled so keen to start that up again after a bit of local pub touring.
We have PA ready to go too. Ideally the singer would have their own mic but that’s not a deal breaker!
We will hold auditions after our last gig, sometime in October so there’s plenty of time to get in touch if you are interested or know someone who would be let them know!
