The latest evolution of the band needs lead sax or trumpet for occasional rehearsals at Riverside Studios, Unit 14, Victoria Industrial Park, Dartford DA1 5AJ (https://www.riversidestudiosda1.com/) and gigs which are presently from 27th December in Essex but will be sought in East & South East London, Surrey and Kent.
We have two female vocalists available to the band but since neither of them have full sets and will be only featured for now, we'd very much like players who can add strong lead and front the band from quartet up to sextet instrumentally.
All the band members are very experienced especially in American Songbook Jazz, but for reasons of wide audience appeal and therefore gigging success, we are looking to offer a more contemporary set which includes Classic Pop material perhaps with a Post Modern Jukebox interpretation. An example of such a set can be seen under the AV Pop Set tab on my website (simonmarshall.co.uk).
Gigs in the past have included very well paid performances for clients such as English Heritage but although we do have a similarly well-paid gig already in May 2026, you will need to be prepared to join us playing for expenses only for some new clients over the next few months.
Availability to rehearse occasionally, probably at weekends but possibly in the week too and own transport for travel to gigs over a wide area as described above please.
