Enthusiastic, committed and reliable lead guitarist sought for the Dead Rubber Dolls, a newly established hard rock originals band from Bristol. We have three songs written and we’re developing other ideas, with the aim of launching and recording our first EP in the coming months. We are all experienced musicians with good local contacts and have opportunities waiting once we are ready to launch.
We rehearse weekly on Thursdays at one of two studios in central Bristol (BS4 and BS5), so own gear and transport is essential, as is commitment to weekly rehearsals, regular gigs once up and running and the associated costs.
The current line-up consists of vocals (female – no misogynists please), guitar/backing vocals, bass and drums, but we feel our style lends itself to powerful riffs and guitar solos, so we’re looking for a talented lead to enhance our existing material and work with us collaboratively going forward.
Experience is strongly desired but not essential as long as you are a competent performer, have enough technical knowledge/the ability to write your own parts and can hit the ground running. We are all experienced musicians aged between 23 and 30, so we’re looking for a guitarist of a similar age who shares our ambition to gig regularly, record and eventually tour.
Although we’re very committed and like to keep the music professional, we’re an easy-going group and don’t take ourselves too seriously (as the name suggests). We socialise regularly and have a good laugh together, so it’s really important that the guitarist we take on is laid back and has a good sense of humour. We certainly have no egos or domineering types and we’d like to keep it that way!
If you like what you’ve read, drop me a message and I’ll forward a demo track.
Many thanks!
