Description
Hey everyone!
We are a three-piece band looking to augment our line-up and flesh out our live sound with another wonderful human! We've been practicing together for a few months and have 10+ songs ready-to-go as a trio.
We are looking for an additional guitarist who:
- Will play lead guitar most of the time
- Ideally add another singing voice (clean or screamed) whether as backing vocals/harmonies, or even co-lead
- Is happy rehearsing in West Leonidon (typically every couple of weeks, depending on schedules etc.)
- Wants to be a part of something and play gigs
We really enjoy playing music with people who we enjoy hanging out with, so finding reliable bandmates who are both good people as well as good musicians is really important to us. We are in our late 30s, have day jobs, and whilst we would love to do something with this, we're not expecting anyone to quit their day job after a couple of practices! We are an inclusive band, but being around drugs is a non-starter.
Some additional text-based info, musically we have influences from all over the place, from Dashboard Confessional to Iron Maiden and Queen, but it's within the Pop-Punk, Post-hardcore and Emo realm that the songs and desired band style fits. Some favourites include: Yellowcard, Bayside, Breaking Benjamin, Saves The Day, Silverstein, Funeral for a Friend, Blink, Jimmy Eat World, Senses Fail, Set Your Goals, Taking Back Sunday, New Found Glory, Fightstar, Alkaline Trio, Further Seems Forever, Samiam etc. etc.
So if you're a lead guitarist and want to be a part of something fun with pop-punk/post-hardcore vibes and like the sound of the demos, then hit us up with:
- a little general intro about yourself (including your interests, musical influences, what you've been doing previously/currently)
- links to your best guitar playing (in general)
- some videos of yourself playing the lead parts to some of the songs on the soundcloud link (doesn't need to be cinematic production quality or anything, phone videos are fine). To give you a headstart all of those songs are in drop C# (everything half a step down in general and then the equivalent of drop D
- any questions you may have
