I am looking for a Lead guitar player, a bass player and a technical creative drummer to join my band 'Fort Valance'.
I will be playing rhythm guitar and lead vocals.. The style of music is energetic indie rock.. I have 3 albums worth of songs already written AT LEAST.. the style of music is similar to early Arctic Monkeys, Milburn and The Reytons but the vocals are delivered with a Mancunian accent and are whitty and relatable... I'm looking for one of the 3 positions to be able to sing a harmonising vocal whilst playing... I'm looking for working class lads with a passion for this type of music, I'm looking for lads with a bit of attitude, who have got an opinion on things.. who can play this style of music well, who have plenty of spare time to practise, who are committed, like a drink and a laugh that want to be part of a 4 piece band that are gonna form a brotherly bond, have each others backs and take the music and rehearsals seriously but whilst having a good time and ENJOYING it most of all...
Can't be doing with boring, sensible squares... I'm not looking for polite, sensible lads... I'm looking for the biggest ar*ehole drummer, bassist and lead guitarist I can possibly find... my songs are all about growing up on council estates, drink, *rugs, girls and having a good time with zero f*cks given.... this band has to have 4 natural tw*ts who can play well too.. I want arrogance, ego, smoking, swearing, obnoxious, humorous lunatics.... the songs are not that difficult to play, I'm open for each musician to improve their own parts on the songs but I don't want a nerd who is ringing me at 8 in the morning talking about the tone of an Fmaj7... if you are into high tempo, not give a f**k indie rock and you wanna be in a proper band who are gonna cause a stir and p*ss a few people off then why haven't you already messaged me?
If your drumming style is like early Matt Helders or Greeny from Milburn and you're a bit of a kn*bhead then message me... if you can play bass like Mani or Andy Rourke... message me... and if you're a lead guitarist who can play guitar somewhere between Noel Gallagher and John Squire, you look good, are a bit of a b*****d and you've got an ego then message me...
Aged between 30 and 40 would be ideal but not essential...
