Hey all,
Still looking for a bassist and lead guitarist to join our original rock band which currently consists of rhythm guitarist, drummer and female vocals/keys.
We're looking to create a sound that takes influence from rock/alt rock/pop rock/punk rock/pop punk/melodic grunge sort of genres but we're not looking to limit ourselves to a specific genre, whatever works for the track. Bands like; Alkaline Trio, Paramore, Pvris, The Interupters, Biffy Clyro, MGK, MCR, Dead Sara, Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes; A focus on melodies, riffs, some decent harmonies and a nice rock sort of sound going on.
We've a few tracks we can share that show past song's we've written (these aren't necessarily the sound we are deffo going for, they are actually quite eclectic which we'd like to streamline a bit, but gives an idea of our past sound), just let me know if your interested and I can send you the links.
We're all late 20's - early 30's.
Based between Durham and Sunderland and normally practice in Washington, Gateshead or Newcastle.
Looking for band members that are committed, have their own gear and preferably own transport and willing to gig fairly often with tours a potential in the future and festival slots. Practice would be once a week or there abouts.
We have rock band specific management based over Manchester way.
Also looking for a fairly advanced level of player, intuitive that can work well with others in the band and for the lead guitarist especially a bit of musical theory. Some ability to add to backing vocals would be good to but not essential. You're going to be given some very bad guitar recordings/ideas (from our singer normally) and asked to make them sound good so you have to have the creativity and ability to do that as she's pants at playing guitar!
If the above sounds like something you'd enjoy being part of then give me a shout.
