King Dodo, two EPs released and third EP releasing Xmas Eve looking to put together a new lineup dedicated to gigging and recording more new material in 2026 and moving fowards.
Drums, Bass and Guitarist needed
Looking for in the Bass:
Solid occasional lead lines, use of effects , probably not going to be much scope for slap, more playing with fingers or a pick and locking in with the drums to power the sings along during verses and when guitar is floating around and making weird noises. Any acoustic bass or upright bass would be great for future material. Backing vocals and any other instruments would be a plus!
Guitar: solid rhythm playing, ability to play lead , love of effects , Not much scope for face melting finger tapping here more tasteful lead lines, and the odd solo part, feeling and depth required. Love of effects and room for some weird noises and atmospheric noises. Ability for backing vocals and other instruments would be a plus or willingness to try backing vocals and small parts on other instruments.
drummer: open to all kinds of drummers, if you can play to a click, love your drums and have a passion for what you do and your kit and have any previous experience recording drums then please do get in touch as aside from getting live bad together there’s plenty of recording to be doing.
Percussion and possible electronic drum triggering knowledge would be really useful for some of the songs yet to record. Own transport essential.

Main infuences, Ween, Super Furry Animals, Townes van zandt, New Model Army, Nozzle, IDLES, Andre’s Segovia, Francisco tarrega, Brickwork Lizards, Bon Scott era AC/DC, creedence Clearwater revival, simple kid, Motörhead, and many more, these are just my influences , it doesn’t matter what you enjoy as long as it means something to you!
After several false stats last year and spending time rehearsing and doing some gigs before previous line ups had jobs or family commitments that sadly had to leave the band just as getting out there , I’m keen to save your time and mine In letting you know that music is all I do and if we can be gigging then there are chances to be busy and do some fun and interesting things and plenty of songs to record and lots lore sketches of songs to work on as a band.
New EP “babble” releases on Xmas Eve and playing gigs to promote this and to gig In the new songs for th next recording are the goals.
Rehearsing once a week and gigging as nuch as practically possible.
Travel to rehearsals and to gigs will be needed . Own transport will be needed.
I am based beeeen Swindon and Oxford and anyone around this area is preferred.
We can arrange a rehearsal space between us that is fair so not got to drive miles out of way but if can’t face doing the journey weekly then probably won’t work out in the winter and dark.
The third EP is a profession from the two already online, the next EP material is there.
I’d to have home recording kit and would be able to bounce files between each other than that would be a bonus as there’s scope for some other projects recording together.
