I'm looking for an experienced keyboardist for a wedding/function band that I set up a few years ago, which I recently and reluctantly folded, due to the commitment of other band members. Everything was set in place apart from recording a showreel and we had just started gigging in March 22 however due to some commitment issues I have been forced to seek new members.
I'm looking for a dynamic Keyboardist who can add that extra lift to the band. If you can sing backing and or play guitar too that would be an added extra bonus
The band is called "Mixology" and as the name suggests our U.S.P. is that we mix a lot of songs up playing mash-ups of well known songs and artists which adds that little bit extra into the set. Mashups such as :-
Superstition/7 Nations Army/Sweet Dreams
Ain't no sunshine/Harder to Breathe/Skyfall
Disco Inferno/Dancing on the Ceiling
Runaway Baby/ Bang Bang
70s disco mashups including Celebration, le freak, We are Family, Car Wash ...and similar
We were keeping the setlist quite fresh and up to date with covers from the likes of Dua Lipa, Bruno Mars, Pharrell Williams, John Newman, Walk the Moon, Adele, Amy Winehouse, as well as a few surprises in our mash-ups. The entire set list is pulled together to ensure any dancefloor is filled from start to finish.
Any new members will also have the opportunity to add their input into the set list as we all have equal say in choice of songs.
We were not looking at the band as a full time project as we all have other jobs and commitments. We would be looking at performing a couple of times a month and rehearse weekly predominantly and I have my own rehearsal space equipped with private recording studio
I play a Roland TD50 electronic kit which gives the band a huge range of sounds, samples and sequences, with capabilities to trigger not just drum sounds but multi instruments, samples, vocals, and even lighting effects give the band a unique edge second to none.
You would have the opportunity to have an input on song choices, structures and arrangements and will have the opportunity to record and perform on our showreel we were due to record.
I have a full PA which sounds amazing, a fantastic lighting and laser show, and our own recording and rehearsal facilities. We also have some great contacts within the wedding planning industry who are keen to use their position to help promote the band.
If this is something you think you'll be interested in feel free to get in touch.
