Keyboard Player with BVs wanted for well estab. original act
I’m a well established singer songwriter and until recently was fronting my full band Stevie Jones and The Wildfires.
We have released 4 albums over the last decade, gigged extensively in the U.K, gained airplay including BBC Introducing and Planet Rock and picked up some good reviews.
Last year I put the band on hiatus as I’m now focusing on stripped down gigs in a duo / trio line up and also in the process of recording an acoustic retrospective in this format.
Alongside my guitarist Dean - who is already up to speed with the material - we need a permanent keyboard player / backing harmony vocalist. (Preferably female as there are songs already recorded in our back catalogue that feature fem backing vocals - but not 100% essential).
I’m looking for someone maybe aged 25-60 who is preferably experienced both live and in the studio who is interested in joining this project with a focused level of commitment. Own transport essential.. We will be looking to play gigs in the local area and nationally to help promote the acoustic album which is underway.
Beyond that I may resurrect the full band.
We do NOT play main stream covers - its all original material and only looking to play venues and festivals suitable for it.
As a result overall it’s not going to be much of a regular money earner - unfortunately that’s the reality of grassroots music these days. You should be in it because you love playing original music and are enthusiastic about helping it get out to a wider audience and playing some nice events on the way
If you are a singer songwriter yourself there will also be opportunities to share the bill with us at gigs as opener or support etc.
Also aside from this I do play regular acoustic covers gigs focusing on 60s-90s classics so there may be scope to collaborate on these which will pay.

Album review:
“ There’s a raw alt-folk rock honesty (New Model Army, Levellers) but also a melodic Americana influence in the guitar-led songs (Ryan Adams, Tom Petty). And for those of us proggers, maybe even the slightest element of Porcupine Tree and Steven Wilson in some of the more progressive rock moments”
