So I need to point out that am in an originals band, but I also have the time to commit to this if it's right.
Rock/pop/similar would be my preference and I can evidence up to date gigging experience
If you are a reliable singer looking to create a band that would be a great start although I won't lilely be interested in a start up originals project because I want to get out there and play live fairly quickly.
So I'm up for a start up or an already set up band and I'm looking to play live and build on that. Realistically - a rock/pop covers band with a set list that will get us booked in pubs. I want the band to have a diary with repeat bookings.
I'm a classic rock fan but I'm not factoring my taste into it so much. These kind of cover songs are typical of the ones I recently and currently do:

That era, 80's onwards. I'll consider looking at learning Lady Gaga kind of age songs so long as the songs have some energy about them. I can't stand dirges lol
Age? I don't mind. I've played in a band with a 21 year old but, I've turned 50. I'm very friendly in a band. I'll be looking for EASYGOING people. I cannot stress this enough!!! I can't do prickly people or overbearing ego's - noisy musicians etc I like a band where everyone has their opinion on songs respected. In my ideal World all band members would chat 1st and then choose the set list evenly, and not have it imposed upon them.
So - Personality is paramount along with a practical desire to gig.
