Keyboard looking for a band Hampshire (Aldershot), Surrey (Guildford, Woking)

Hello,
I am looking for a band to join - I've been playing piano for quite some time, and I recently picked up the banjo. I also have some simple basis of guitar.
I live in Aldershot and work in Pirbright, so I am happy to move around that area.

I've never tried to be in a band, so I am really excited to join and do my best to create good music, and good times Smile

I am open to any kind of music, but I would appreciate playing some original compositions too.

We are looking for a new keyboard player to join our working, semi-pro, 6-piece function band.

Our repertoire is popular covers from 1960's, to present day, giving "something for everyone" approach for our target audiences of social clubs, pubs, private parties and occasional weddings and formal events.

Current Line Up: Male Lead, Female Semi-Lead vocals, Guitar/BV's, Bass/BV's, Keyboards and Drums.
Genres: Pop, Dance/Disco, Pop Rock, Reggae, Ballads, Rock n Roll, Funk, Rock.

We perform between 15-25 gigs per year, with usually a max. of 2 times per month (except occasional months which could be busier, such as Nov/Dec time).

Since we have existing band members with young families and/or professional work commitments, gigs are generally on Saturday nights (with an occasional Friday).

We have our own professional PA system and lighting equipment, which all band members help to set up, carry/store and maintain.

Important for us:

- Competent musical ability.
- Semi-pro quality of equipment.
- Willing to commit to regular (monthly) rehearsals.
- Must have own, reliable transportation.
- Have regular availability on Saturday nights throughout the year.
- Joining for the passion of music and performing to audiences.

Desirable for us:

- Backing vocal ability
- Able to help store and carry parts of the joint band equipment (such as PA/Lighting)
