Guitarist Looking to Start a Rock Band – Fife
I'm a guitarist based in Fife looking to put together a rock band for writing original music, making some noise, and enjoying a regular jam with like-minded musicians.
Looking for:
Singer
Bass Player
Drummer
The aim is to write and play original material with a few covers mixed in. I already have a couple of songs ready to get things moving, could probably start with a few covers while everyone settles in and finds their groove.
Influences include The Black Keys, Wolfmother, Queens of the Stone Age, Jack White, along with plenty of 60s, 70s and 90s rock. Think big riffs, crunchy guitars, groove, distortion, and songs that are fun to play.
Looking to get together once or twice a month at weekends, keeping it realistic around work, family and everything else that comes with adult life.
I'm not looking to build a gigging machine, chase record deals, or spend every weekend loading gear into vans. The idea is simply to get together with like minded people, write some music, have a laugh, and enjoy playing in a band again. If something more comes from it down the line, great, but that's not the reason for doing it.
I haven't played much lately myself and I'm looking to shake off the rust, so don't worry if you're not a virtuoso. You don't need incredible chops or years of touring experience, just enough ability to play your instrument, be reliable, and enjoyment of making music.
