Milo Black
(Milton Keynes)

Ok, here's the deal. I'm a "born in the 60s" guitarist with some band experience, but I've been noodling in my music room for the last few years, and I'd like to get something going with some like-minded human beings again.
This is not going to be a career move. It's unlikely to be a money-maker. I'm basically looking for other local guys&gals who want to get out of their music rooms/living rooms/garages, shut down Rocksmith/Yousician/YouTube, take off the neighbour-pacifying headphones and play some tunes together, see what happens. Do it for the joy of it, maybe do some small gigs if it comes together, then back to the day job in between. Dad-band, basically.
Material? I thought you'd never ask. Covers are a good place to start. I'm a lover of 70s rock - prog, space rock, classic rock. Floyd, Genesis (if we get a keyboard player), Rush, Hawkwind, Gong, Hillage, Purple, Sabbath, maybe some twin lead Lizzy and Maiden stuff. I've got some original material too, in similar vein, but I've tried putting together "The Milo Black Band", and head-wall-repeated rhythmic impact. So that's very much optional. To be honest, I'll play anything rock or blues-based with some drive and dynamics to it.
I said guitar (I'm not a shredder - more Gilmour than Van Halen) - but I also play bass. Happy to do that if we have too many guitarists. I can also find my way around a drum set at a push (I have an electronic kit). Basically - I just want to move some air and look across a room at a few other guys, all of whom are looking back at me with "well, you buggered that up" expressions. Then go for a pint and compare tour t-shirts.
Probably Nots list:
Teenagers
Passengers (no transport, no gear, no money for rehearsal rooms or beer)
Beginners (sorry, but I want to play music, not give guitar/bass/drum lessons. Been there, done that)
Anyone who had to Google all or most of the bands mentioned above.
Know-alls (never been out of their bedrooms or played a gig, but know *exactly* how it should be done. Can you hear the sound of axes gently grinding? Cos I can).
Timewasters (come on, guys. Do some prep. If we've talked about what we're going to play, learn the songs BEFORE you get to the rehearsal. Don't waste everyone else's time teaching it to you bar by bar because you can't be bothered. See above under "I want to play music")
Anyone who doesn't know what a bar is (yeah, really).
Are you STILL reading this? I mean, really? Message me.
