Hi, I’m Keane, I’m 20 and I’m a singer-songwriter based around Newcastle / Durham. I’m looking to start a serious original & covers band with people who care about songwriting, emotion, and actually building something real, not just jamming for the sake of it.
I already write my own material and have experience recording and releasing music. My songs lean toward emotional indie / alternative, often quieter and intimate but with room to grow into bigger, more powerful arrangements with the right band. Think honest lyrics, atmosphere, and dynamics, rather than flashy playing for the sake of it.
What I’m looking for:
• Drummer – someone dynamic and tasteful (not overplaying)
• Bassist – locked-in, supportive, understands groove and space
• Lead Guitarist / Keys – texture, melody, restraint over ego
Age-wise, somewhere around 18–25 ideally, but mindset matters more than age.
Influences / vibe:
I am influenced by the likes of Lewis Capaldi, seeing him perform live with a band behind him is so inspiring.
Indie / alt with emotional weight, artists who put feeling first. I’m not looking to be a cover band. Originals are the priority, with the goal of recording, releasing music, and gigging once we’re tight.
Commitment & goals:
I’m serious about this. I want to rehearse regularly, develop the songs properly, and work toward releases and live shows. That said, I’m not expecting perfection — just reliability, communication, and genuine passion.
