Hi there,
I am looking to form a live backing band for my established baroque pop / cinematic indie project, WARISSARA (formerly Ethereal UK).
The music is deeply atmospheric, dramatic, and emotionally driven, blending piano, rich string arrangements, and powerful, expressive vocals. I have already got an amazing drummer on board and a potential violinist, but I’m looking to complete the lineup with:
A Keyboard / Piano Player: To hold down the melodic and harmonic core of the tracks, triggering some atmospheric textures/pads where needed.
A Cellist: To bring that deep, melancholic, chamber-pop warmth.
A Violinist: (Looking for a main or second violinist to weave together beautiful, sweeping string lines).
Our Influences:
If you love the sweeping, chamber-pop grandeur and haunting atmospheres of Anohni & The Johnsons, Florence + The Machine, Agnes Obel, and London Grammar, you will be right at home here.
What to expect:
The Sound: You can check out one of my tracks, "Trust The Process," here to get a feel for the vocal style and atmospheric production: https://youtu.be/H0JlA71_-kA
The Goal: Translating a rich, cinematic studio sound into a captivating live experience. I have an established catalog of music, and the focus will be rehearsing a set for local gigs, intimate venues, and showcases in the Bournemouth area and beyond.
Commitment: Collaborative, creative, and professional but relaxed. We want to create something truly beautiful and moving on stage. Rehearsals will take place in the Bournemouth/Dorset area.
If this sounds like your kind of project, please get in touch with a bit about yourself, your experience, and any links to your playing!
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Yui (Warissara)
