Musicians wanted - the ULTIMATE rock and pop jukebox project, a new project for 2023
We are putting the feelers out to see who is available and interested in putting together a new act, with material drawn primarily from the 1980’s to present day (with a smattering of older tunes). Expect to hear classics that other acts simply don’t do, performed entirely live by what we envisage will be a line-up of top musicians. The show will build on previous experiences, and will be the ULTIMATE rock and pop party. With many years of gigging experience in quality acts, we know what our audiences want to hear. Yes, there will be the usual suspects - Queen, Bruno Mars, Tina Turner, The Killers, but also hope to introduce some Belinda Carlisle, Pink, Justin Timberlake, Taylor Swift, Harry Styles and a lot more besides. For sure, there is also room for a little Blink 182, Green Day and Thin Lizzy too! Think the ultimate jukebox with a little something for everyone and you won’t be far wrong!
We want to hear from YOU, especially if you are a guitar player. Already in place is our musical director / keyboard player, who will also look after marketing and the business needs of the act, and a top quality drummer / vocalist.
Guitarist influences - a real mix of Edward Van Halen, Neal Schon, Carlos Alomar, Richie Sambora, Nuno Bettencourt, Mick Ronson, Andy Taylor, Graham Coxon, Prince, Steve Lukather, Brian May and Nile Rodgers will be required!
We have had a great response on the vocal and bass front, but if you know anyone else out there along the lines below we would love to hear from them!
Bassist influences - think a mix between Bernard Edwards, John Deacon, Paul McCartney, Donald 'Duck' Gunn, Guy Pratt, John Taylor, Alex James would absolutely nail this!
Vocalists (ideally a female vocalist) - we need you to be able to sing those big 80's anthems, be able to deliver more vulnerable and soulful tunes, alongside being the vocal point for the act.
This act won't be gigging multiple times per week – been there, done that before– but expect to play around twice per month. Whilst music is very much a passion, it is important to maintain a good balance with family life! With excellent venue relationships, and links with quality agents, excellent work is already out there. The timeframe for the project would be to workshop material and get up and running throughout Autumn 2022 ready to hit the stage properly from Spring 2023. Rehearsals would be in the West Midlands (Stourbridge / Dudley / Brierley Hill / Halesowen / Wolverhampton) area. We already have some musicians interested, but keen to pick from the cream of the crop to make sure we can deliver the best possible live experience.
Looking forward to potentially hearing from some of you soon, and seeing what may be possible moving forward.
