Afternoon. How did your search go for a guitarist? What kind of songs do you guys play? I'm a big rock fan, spanning the decades...

Hi mate,

We have got a guitarist and we're full complement at the mo. We've just had to have a very short break until Ore Studios gets going at their new spot (June at the earliest).

But the lad is from York, so if he's not quite so keen on travelling, then I'll happily give you a shout. Post your mob no. on here and I'll jot it down, and come back to you if he decides it isn't for him.

Just as an aside, do you sing as well as play guitar? We're short a lead vocalist, so if you could sing as well as play, we could link up (and maybe have three guitars). The two current lads are backing vocs really.

Thanks for coming back to me Rich.

Sadly not much of a lead singer... would be happy chipping in with some backing vocals if necessary. Getting a decent vocalist is always the challenge.

Be interested to know what you setlist might look like?

Sure thing. Have got your mob no saved, and will of course keep you posted.

We've been going for about 2-3 months (before a two month pause) and had started to look at:

Neil Young Rocking in the free world and Hey hey my my
AC DC Highway to hell and You shook me all night long
G&R Sweet child o mine
The Cult She sells sanctuary
Gun Word Up
Judas Priest Breaking the law
Bryan Adams Summer of 69

So, as you can see, pretty much 'pub rock favourites'. But I think we're poss ready to try some different stuff with any new band members.

Pretty solid list, Rich. Funnily enough, I played about 60% of those with the guys I was jamming with over in Hull. We did GnR's Night Train too, which is good fun to play! Nice choice with Word Up... fun song to play...

The issue with those guys was they were swaying toward playing more stuff like Oasis etc. That's not really my bag, I'm definitely more of a rock/hard-rock kinda guy.
