Are you a guitarist?
Can you play… most of the right notes, most of the time? (who's counting?)
Do you own equipment that, when plugged in, produces something resembling music?
Do you enjoy playing in pubs, bars, and the occasional questionably sticky floor venue?
Can you occasionally look like you’re having a good time on stage?
If so, you might be exactly the human we’re looking for.
Bad Alchemy are on the hunt for a second guitarist. Our current one is selfishly moving abroad this summer (we’re told it’s for “life reasons”), so we need someone to step in and keep the good ship afloat. The upside: we’ve already got gigs booked for the rest of the year.
About us
We’re an established Hampshire indie rock covers band with solid connections to popular venues around the south. We play indie and rock classics people want to hear, with just enough unpredictability to keep it interesting.
We rehearse weekly-ish on Fridays in or near Southampton and gig 1–2 times a month. We’re friendly, motivated and want to keep the band growing.

About you
Guitarist (lead, rhythm, or somewhere in that mysterious middle ground)
Generally reliable (we understand “life happens,” but ideally not every Friday)
Backing vocals = lovely. Lead vocals = even better (We like to mix it up sometimes)
Some stage presence is a bonus—you don’t need to go wild, just enjoy yourself up there
Willing to help with band stuff (socials, sound, bookings, carrying gear, emotional support, etc.)
What you get
Regular gigs around Hampshire and beyond
A genuinely friendly, no-drama band.
Our very own rehearsal space (a shed… but like, a good shed)
Creative input, your own flair, and a legitimate chance to sneak your favourite song into the set
If this sounds like your kind of nonsense, drop us a message with a bit about yourself, your experience, and any clips/links you’ve got.
